Surface Processes

Heavy Metal Ion Implantation

Heavy Metal Ion Implantation (HMII), which is similar to shot-peening, but on an atomic level, embeds ions into a target part surface, permanently altering its crystalline structure.

HMII generally produces part life improvements between 4x and 10x vs. untreated (sometime as high at 25x).

Magnetron Sputtering Deposition

Proprietary Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technique that is low temperature (<250F) and extremely uniform.

Perfect for applications that require very specific crystalline structures, as with Molybdenum Di-Sulphide (MoS2), for example.

MoS2 is an extremely low friction coating which is grown out of the surface for maximum adhesion.

Cathodic Arc Deposition

A PVD technique that allows for very thick and very dense coatings to be formed.

Pure metal or metal alloy coatings can be produced with this surface technique.

A wide variety of Ceramic Coatings can be produced to fit the specific requirements of a project, such as max operating temperature, hardness, friction, cost.
